Dragon Ball v09 ch125 – Son Gokū Versus Kuririn!!
Oh well. It took forever. I’ve been real busy with both work and personal stuff, did some remodeling, was sick. And I’m still diverting more of my time towards games, than I did in the past. So it took some time.
About reuploading the downed chapters. I gotta check that first. Because some Leakid (Ithink) dude, has reported several mediafire files. Jackass.

If someone needs previous chapters, you can find them here. I hope Feanor will be fine with that “mirror”.

Thanks man!
August 31, 2012 at 5:01 pm
I’m quite fine with that. Thank you very much. I have to do some research. Back when I started only 4shared and mediafire had free accounts that offered enough space to host the entire DB project. Maybe there are some new ones. Because that leakId jerk has reported so many mediafire files. And I’m not reuploading chapters and volumes every week. Can’t believe there are no filehosters in like switzerland or china, where the law doesn’t reach.

torrent is what we need a torrent of each chapter would solve it

I agree with cement. Thank you. Fucking mediafire. They get a report and lock the files. Alright. But then they won’t even let me log in. What about the other files in my account? I wrote them they coudlv’e just suspended the outgoing traffic, allowing me to at least get files back on my hd that I might not have backed up anywhere else. Given that they earnt money with the traffic I provided. Not to mention. I really hate filehosters. I mean, we all know what most of their customers do with the accounts. Everyone has something illegal on there. And the ones that simply store pictures and personal stuff don’t generate much traffic and with that money. And then they get some email from a guy and take his word for it. Why act on that. He wouldn’t know that they drag their feat with responding to his report, if the didn’t act on it. Or if I proved that he is wrong. They should do more to protect and retain their profit producers. But they have become scared.

Oh and games. I like all kinds of games. Manager games (soccer and f1), older games, games like the total war series, hitman. Pretty much anything that entertains me really. And on the xbox, besides pes, I have played assassins creed 1+2+ revelations and brotherhood, mirrors edge, gta 4, bully, fable2, ncis, portal, arkham 1, f1, army of two, resident evil 5 I think, boxing. I have deadly premonition, iron man2, and force unleashed 1 lined up for when I’m through fable and bully. And I have a list of other games i want to play in the future like red dead, walkind dead, dead space. Although some games I wanted to play have turned out to be playstation only. I like open-world and games you can play a lot (like sports), because you aren’t done after 3 hours with no real replay value. But I’m still open to any suggestion or tip.

I can reply to your second reply :-S
Wow mediafire wont let you get your own files… I have issue with them removing files that are password protected and obscurely named, I would like to know how they are able to determine the contents are infringing copy right the hash is different so I say my account is buggered. If I find a good hoster Ill drop you a msg
Good list of games there but I have to say Iron man might be disappointing, played the demo after watching the film, I was done after about 5 minutes…. Happy gaming and thanks again for DB!

If I remeber correctly, back when I started out, mediafire wasn’t allowing password protected files. Because they couldn’t check it for viruses that way. But I only remember that through a thick fog, it might all be bullshit.
I’m leaning towards obscure naming of the archive itself and password protection from now on. Also no mention of the word Dragonball in the post and no clickable links. If that guy is doing this which search algos, which I think his company actually does, that might help. If he knows this website or baka I can pretty much do what I want. He’ll always find the files to report them that way.
About mediafire. I think if someone reports a file and they have all that fancy sounding terminology the file get’s suspened much faster than if someone wrote “that dude is using stuff that belongs to me”. And when you get the information you can actually tell them they made a mistake. All you have to do is say what it was, where it was, swear that you’re telling the thruth, have proof that you own the copyright etc. It’s something a person can do if a mistake was done, although it sounds timeconsuming.
But in my case I know I don’t have the copyright. Even if that guy was just your average piss-ant that likes to fuck people and he had no relation to Leakid or if they don’t have the copyright for DB (who even knows if they do or not). I would have to come out and claim I own all those files to get the account back and the files too. When you know something isn’t true, is it smart to tell people otherwise. Who knows. Maybe that’s all they want or need so they can get all legal on my ass. I’d rather not risk it.

I’m not sure what will happen exactly. I hav read around a bit and got a few names of filehosters I want to check out. Some of them have no connection to the us or germany, no .com. Others I heard are pretty good. But I guess I’m not coming across what mediafire offered again. But we’ll make it work. Maybe I only offer full volumes for download, and no individual chapters anymore. That would cut down the storage place I need. And it would mean less to upload if I have to reupp things again. I can even see me using a site that deletes files due to no activity, if I don’t have to upload 125 chapters + 8 extra chapters and 9 volumes (as of now) and then having to update all those links here on the website, every time the get found out. Maybe a all in one torrent would work too as some form of constant mirror.
September 14, 2012 at 2:15 am
Hmm guess Ill have to look at the MF rules but that would explain the deletions.
I agree volume links are a much more manageable solution. Torrents are good but may be impractical, you cant modify it and it needs a decent sized swarm to be effective…
About protecting files, Standard archive Archive within archive if you dont have the password you see the difference (password is 123). Also my links above have all been marked illegal hmmm… Hello leakId
September 14, 2012 at 1:00 pm
What difference was I supposed to see? In both cases when I turned it into a rar and clicked it, it opened winrar and displayed the folded inside it, which I could enter both times, and then I saw a picture and got promted to enter the password when I clicked it, both times. There was no difference that I could see.
September 14, 2012 at 7:56 pm
Your right they are the same even the sane link! I meant to link this one
September 15, 2012 at 12:50 pm
Ah, so it’s an archieve with a second, password protected archieve in it. That’s similar to my previously used folder inside a folder inside the archieve. The only thing I fear, is that people will find another archieve or folder (for that matter) too inconvinient. Especially with the other things I plan to do like password, not clickable, just gibberish for the archieve name, only post the end of the download link (like the scanlator of Y10M does it).
September 16, 2012 at 9:13 am
Thats a fair point, sounds like it might be unnecessary with the other actions your taking.
September 6, 2012 at 1:24 am

September 9, 2012 at 1:19 am
Hey man! Keep up the good work. I unfortunately found you through a manga site using your work without permission…
But you’re the only quality dragonball scanlator, you’re awesome! I hope that you can keep this up and maybe do all of dragonball x)
September 9, 2012 at 9:21 pm
Which site?
September 11, 2012 at 2:16 pm
I found your scanlations from http://www.mangareader.net, do they have a permission to use your work?
September 12, 2012 at 1:51 pm
They never asked, so no.
September 9, 2012 at 10:09 pm
Hey, I like your work with this manga and seeing your troubles with uploading files could you please come and upload the chapters at our site, https://fuge.it/ ? If you want more info please come and check out the irc.
September 12, 2012 at 1:48 pm
Feanor, thank you so much for all you have done. Really appreciate your work!
September 12, 2012 at 10:16 pm
Have you ever thought about using Viz’s digital DB manga releases (i.e. Nook Book or Kindle) as an alternative to having to scan every page yourself? I mean, you’ll still have to scan a bit from the kanzenban, like color pages and pages where Viz altered the artwork (for censorship), but I feel like it would save you quite a few headaches; all you would need to do is fix the translation.
That said, love the work you have done so far, thank you so much.
September 14, 2012 at 12:51 pm
Well, it’s not like I was the one that scanned the Kanzenban volumes. I simply found the raws that somebody else had scanned. I reborder, relevel those and put in the new text. What really takes time is the detailed work. Characters and other things tend to be drawn with a thicker line at one side to indicate shadow or whatever. I thin those out a bit, so that the difference between the width of the normal line and the thicker part isn’t as big. And then I take out a lot of imperfections. Not just dirt sports, but imperfections in the lines so that they are smoother and all filled in. It’s not just a simple slap on with our translation. I wouldn’t need that long to do something that simple.

Thank you so much for your hard work Feanor. I always wait for your release of DB.
And about firehoster problem, I can provide a little help by hosting your DB’s work on my server for a fix period of time (like 3 or 4 weeks). Sorry for the time limit but I have to keep my bandwidth balance. If it still stay in the accepted bandwidth, I will keep the file active.
The speed can be slowdown a bit because I’m using dyndns. I will change it to a real domain name soon.
I’ve already upload 5 volumes (sorry for didn’t ask your permission first, Feanor :p):
- Vol 1
- Vol 2
- Vol 3
- Vol 4
- Vol 5
If anyone has problem with downloading, please mail me at: gafsveno@gmail.com.
